1. A Good First Step - York University suspends student running anti-Semitic Website - this should not take long, unless the bleeding hearts get hold of it - I mean the bastard has apparently admitted to his call for genocide against Jews -
"After the Post reported on the police investigation, Mr. Hossain was unapologetic and defended his support for a genocide against Jews, writing, "Yes, I can call for the slaughter of an entire people."

2. Meanwhile, IAW Marches On - This is truly a disgusting event - not because it criticizes Israel - which is fine as long as the type of criticism is the consistent as that leveled at other nations - but because the criticism is so extreme and so divergent from reality that it easily falls into Natan Sharansky's 3D test - demonization, double standards and delegitimization -and amounts to antisemitism.
3. Turkish Turkey - You can always count on the PM of Turkey to say something completely idiotic - 'Rachel's Tomb was never Jewish'. Hey pal, guess what? I'm not sold on the whole "Mohammed flew to heaven on a horse from the Dome of the Rock" thing - what do you say to that?

7. Where's The UNHRC Now? - 'Serious threat to Venezuela's Jews'

"Why do those who love the Palestinians never march for the Chechens, the Tibetans, the Sudanese, the Congolese? People who speechify endlessly on the Palestinians show no interest in the Uighurs. Those who care about only one of the world’s downtrodden peoples naturally arouse suspicion that something other than humanitarian feeling is behind their rhetoric."

10. Those Annoying Telemarketers - this oughta fix 'em.

1. What's The Delay?? - arrest this hateful bastard & charge him under the Criminal Code -what would happen if someone were to say the same thing against Muslims? University may suspend student over anti-Semitic postings and National Post editorial board: A case study in hate - Full Comment.

[note - this image is just a random sample - it is not
an example of Hossain's "work"]

3. Speaking of Hate - Israel Apartheid Week is here (there is so much hate they need two weeks to spew their trash). Just proving that if say something loud enough and long enough, it gets a life of its own - facts and reality do not matter in the least. Here are a number of links about this annual disgrace - that has nothing to do with free speech or academic freedom - just vilification of Israel.

4. Big Story In Canada This Week #1 - Niqab Showdown in Quebec
"Quebec Immigration Minister Yolande James authorized the expulsion of a Muslim woman from a government-sponsored French class at Cégep St. Laurent, a report said Tuesday.

The student, an Egyptian who is a permanent resident of Canada and who wears a veil over her face known as a niqab, apparently refused to reveal her face in class and insisted male students not face her, according to La Presse."

This has provoked a number of comments - but (sarcasm on) I am sure glad to know that the case is in the good hands of a human rights tribunal (sarcasm off).

11. Dead Guy in Dubai - unlike the late unlamented target, this story refuses to die.
Apparently Dubai is going to teach its sleuths to recognize Jews and Israelis by their physical features - how Third Reich of them!

"After announcing the ban on Israelis with dual nationality, Dubai’s police chief, Lt.-Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, said on Monday that authorities in the Gulf emirate would be on the lookout for “Jews".

A Channel 2 News broadcast Monday night showed Tamim pointing at his own face and saying, “We know how to recognize them.” The United Arab Emirates will “deny entry to anyone suspected of having Israeli citizenship,” he said, adding that Israelis with dual nationality would be denied entry.

We will not allow those who hold Israeli passports into the UAE no matter what other passport they have,” Tamim said. Police will “develop skills” to recognize Israelis by “physical features and the way they speak,” he claimed."

12. Good Idea - Purge Nazi legacy from medical science, Canadian doctor urges - if you can stomach it, follow this link and read about Nazi medical experiments - you will be shaken to your core.

13. Speaking of The Nazi Era - More about Pope Pius XII - Saint or Hitler's puppet?

14. Big Story In Canada This Week #2 - In the Throne Speech that signified the re-opening of Parliament, the Conservative Government proposed revising the national anthem to remove the allegedly non-neutral gender reference to "true patriot love in all thy sons command". First of all, "son" is not necessarily a reference to a male person - it can also mean "A native or inhabitant of some specified place; as, sons of Albion; sons of New England". Second, if you want political correctness - how about changing "our home and native land" - only the First Nations people can make that claim.

15. Iran - always good for some material.

1. Look In The Mirror - It takes a lot of restraint to be an effective advocate for Israel, especially when one reads garbage like this.
For example, while I might be rather inclined to call him some names beyond "I'm-a-nut-job" or perhaps hope that he would come to some sudden and untimely end, I think that I will simply say that it is in fact the Iranian thug-ocracy that is the affront to humanity - not Israel.

What has the thug-ocracy (as opposed to the Iranian people at large) contributed? More efficient ways to kill gays (maybe the thug-ocracy have a large stake in the crane industry?) Better ways to fix elections? Better ways to repress, oppress and use violence against their own people? New and better ways to pursue racism?

To deny the enormous contributions that Jews and Israel have made to the world is simply Jew-hatred in its simplest and most basic form.

Picking Purim for this kind of invective is probably deliberate, but bad timing in an Old Testament sense - "I'm-a-nut-job" and his cronies and backers will pay for their sins - I just hope that the price for the ordinary Iranian people will not be too high.

2. More Jew Hatred - Pajamas Media » British Baroness: Israel Went to Haiti to Harvest Organs - this is only the latest of her insane ramblings - and since lawfare is all the rage these days - there must be a lawsuit here somewhere. My disgust and contempt for this British fop - who is a physician no less (maybe she should read this - Dave Gordon: Boycott Israel, demonize Jews, resist medical progress - Full Comment)- knows no bounds - I wrote a letter to the Liberal Democratic Party in England to the effect that if their Party stood for anything, they would expel her.

By the way, you will see in the article that Baroness Jenny Tonge has previously expressed support for suicide bombers. So here is what I wish for her - that one of her Palestinian terrorist buddies is showing her how a suicide belt works and it goes off - she doesn't die - but the only people who can save her are IDF doctors. Let's see what she would do then.

What a contemptible piece of racist garbage. And that is on a good day.

3. And More Jew Hatred - it's almost time for that annual hatred ritual - Israel Apartheid Week - coming soon to a campus near you! Here are a variety of articles on this disgrace - which of course, is tolerated by many ivory tower administrators in their perverted interpretation of academic freedom and free speech.

4. Here's a Good Question - and a better answer. Kol HaKavod!

"I’ve attended UCI for four years. Not once have I ever feared for my safety as a result of the MSU’s actions. That’s not to say they haven’t tried to start physical fights with Jewish students, nor is it to say I haven’t heard some of their members mutter anti-Semitic, sexist, and racist comments between themselves. But they don’t own the campus. Their hatred, however loud, has not infected the rest of the school, and I like to think it’s in large part due to the actions of pro-Israel students counteracting their hate rhetoric with peace rhetoric. UCI is home to some anti-Semitism, but its not enough to avoid going to UCI. What university — or any institution — isn’t host to at least some bigotry? In fact, Jewish life at UCI is thriving, and I invite any concerned readers to please peruse the UCI Hillel’s website for proof of this. While I stand alongside the ZOA in its support for Israel, I must respectfully disagree with its stance on UCI."

6. Is This Moron Related to "I'm-a-nut-job?" - Alpine Jihad: Libya's Gadhafi Declares Holy War Against Switzerland - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News - International Since the Swiss have not exactly been the best friends of the Jews (though they managed to be quite good friends to the Nazis), this looks good on them even if Khadafi is a complete and utter lunatic.

7. The Dubai Hit Lives On - this story just won't go away.

8. Theme Of The Day - something about Jew hatred I believe - Chesler Chronicles » Presbyterians Usher in the Jewish Holiday of Purim.

9. More Theme Of The Day - the B'nai Brith report on antisemitic incidents in Canada has been released, showing that more such events have occurred this past year. But I think that this is illusory in certain respects and detracts from what are real, serious such occurrences.

12. Sorry - I Was Misquoted - yeah, right - like the guy in the Uk who interrupted Daniel Ayalon's speech. "I was taken out of context" is one of the lamest excuses going - Muslim who was pulled off plane for (allegedly) shouting about killing Jews: I never said that, and my accusers are paranoid - Jihad Watch.

13. Prorogation - one of the big issues in Canada lately (apart from the fortunes of Canada's men's hockey team - which is always issue number one - but more on that later) was the decision by Prime Minister Stephen Harper several weeks ago to prorogue Parliament until March 1. Critics accused the Conservative Government of trying to avoid scrutiny over the Afghan detainee issue (the surrendering of captives to Afghan government forces who allegedly torture the captives). They made it seem like Canada would fall apart as a result - conveniently overlooking the fact that prorogation has been used many times before by governing parties. And, in a particular expression of double standards, there was no similar criticism of the same decision a short time later by the Ontario provincial government (run by the Liberal Party) to prorogue its legislature.

My take has been that it will be up to voters to decide the effect - that is democracy in action (are you listening "I'm-a-Nut-job"). Reportedly, the fortunes of the Conservative Party have dipped as a result - that is democracy in action.

In any event, here are some articles on the subject:
