1. Syria Heats Up - Ridding Syria of a despot - The Washington Post and Pajamas Media » Don’t Let Syria Play Out Like 2009 Iran. And in the latest today, the Syrian Cabinet resigned - Syria’s Cabinet Resigns - Concessions Expected - NYTimes.com - yawn....

“We continue to believe that people on Facebook should be able to express their opinions, and we don’t typically take down content that speaks out against countries, religions, political entities, or ideas. However, we monitor pages that are reported to us, and when they degrade to direct calls for violence or expressions of hate – as occurred in this case – we have, and will continue to, take them down.”

Good - thanks for sorting that out - I guess that Facebook would have no problem with this - British Columnist Under Investigation For Criticizing Terrorists - Big Journalism.

3. The Cold Must Have Gone To Their Brains - Alan Dershowitz: Norway to Jews—You're Not Welcome Here - WSJ.com and Something rotten in Norway - Israel Opinion, Ynetnews. OK - no more Norwegian smoked salmon for me. Also see this bunch of garbage - European Left Applying Libya Precedent to Israel, Calling for Military Action « Commentary Magazine - which emanates from Norway.

4. Gee, You'd Think They'd Love Anything Norwegian - Elder of Ziyon: PA leadership considering formally abandoning Oslo in September

5. Diplomatic Moves - it may be good to remember that unilateralism is a two way street - Israel threatens unilateral steps if UN recognizes Palestinian state - Haaretz Daily Newspaper | Israel News - and, whoever wrote this headline has a sense of humor - PA accuses Israel of trying to 'bully' UN

6. Utterly Disgraceful - taking moral equivalence to a new low - though I am sure it will be surpassed sometime soon - LA Times: Defense Against Baby Killers is "Tit-For-Tat" | HonestReporting.

7. Ban Ki-Moon - the head of the UN - the cesspool that the PA has the utter audacity to claim is somehow subject to bullying by Israel - has this to say about the "settlements" - Ban calls on Israel to halt building in W. Bank, e. J'lem.
"Ban praised the Palestinian Authority's efforts to build state institutions and the PA security forces for maintaining security in the West Bank, while calling on Israel to halt "actions that prejudge the outcome of the [diplomatic] process."

Shouldn't he at least appear to be neutral - you know, to give the illusion of an honest broker who could mediate a dispute? Maybe he should tell the PA to halt anti-Israel incitement. Maybe he should unravel the UNRWA, which is nothing more than an anti-Israel platform that perpetuates the Palestinian "refugee" issue. Maybe he should tell the PA to stop their non-stop attitude of entitlement, and to come to the bargaining table, make some real concessions and talk peace (see #9 below). And maybe he should at least consider the possibilities of a contrary legal position - International Law-The Settlements Issue: Distorting the Geneva Convention and the Oslo Accords. I'm not holding my breath.

8. POTUS - in other words, the President of the United States. I am not a fan of the President. I do not think he has the experience and knowledge to the President - notwithstanding his fancy academic credentials. I think that someone forgot to tell him that after you win the election, there's actually a very serious 4 year job that comes with the winner's prize - it ain't just a beauty contest. And, in the spirit of the season of college basketball's March Madness - Zombie » Obama’s Inner Bracket.

Finally, here is a video about Obama's "policy" on Libya and the use of American power - if you think Obama is doing a good job - (a) don't watch it and (b) why do you think so?

"The Palestinian leader wants the US and EU to force Israel to make concessions to the Palestinians, including a complete cessation of construction in West Bank settlements and east Jerusalem neighborhoods. The message he is sending to the Americans and Europeans is: Get me all that you can from Israel or else I will go to Hamas."

12. Good Advice - Why Palestinians Should Learn About the Holocaust - NYTimes.com - and their refusal to do so (as per their leadership), even from the pukes in UNRWA - speaks volumes - read the comments of not only Hamas, which are entirely expected, but also the "peace partner" Fatah in this link:
"Salah al-Wadiyeh, a Fatah representative in the West Bank, said that the Holocaust was a “big lie.” The Palestinians, he said, “know more than any other people the history of their enemies and their false claims and lies."

13. More Good Advice - Pajamas Media » It’s Official: Egypt Will Hold Parliamentary Elections in September - better get organized to defeat the Muslim Brotherhood.

14. Gadhaffi Duck - somehow the brainiacs and smug self-appointed experts who make up "The Elders" (the group includes Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu and Mary Robinson - if you want to know what wrong with these guys, read the following link - with all due respect to former members of the US Navy and the living (and deceased) former Presidents of the United States - any group with good ole Jimmah is a non-starter in my book) have come to the conclusion that Gadhaffi should step down - gee, guys, don't go out on a limb - wouldn't want to prosecute the homicidal maniac or anything - here's an interesting question - Should Muammar Qaddafi Join “The Elders”? Commentary Magazine. He'd fit right in! And he could even design their outfits - give them some style! See these fashion examples:

15. Looking Back At History - A variety of links that look backward, so to speak:

17. Stuxnet - here's a long article from Vanity Fair on this subject - A Declaration of Cyber-War Culture: vanityfair.com

18. Joy In Sports - I have become very cynical about most professional and collegiate sports - from the labor strife in the NFL to the whole LeBron James leaving Cleveland drama, to the arrogance of the NHL front office to the football scandal at Ohio State University. And even though there is lots to be cynical about in NCAA Basketball, the annual championship tournament known as March Madness produces extraordinary games, tremendous drama, and often, unbridled joy. Here is a famous moment from the 1983 Tournament, when NC State upset heavily favored Houston (a scoring machine known as Phi Slamma Jamma) on a last second miracle - known as much for the reaction of (the late) Coach Jim Valvano as anything else - followed by some great pictures from this year's Tournament (Final Four - VCU, Butler, Kentucky and UConn).

  1. While it can be agreed that the Palestinians have been denied a piece of their history, with particular reference to Holocaust education, this missing piece may embolden their resolve. The fact that Jew hatred preceded the creation ( recreation)of the Jewish state will reiterate for them the fact they must carry out the long standing committment of their ancestors. The discovery that the surrounding Muslim countries are not much older than Israel, will not remove the fact that the Middle East is predominantly Muslim. From their perspective Judaism and Christianity are the rough drafts of Islam which to them is perfection. Educating them therefore will not serve our mutual interests.
