1. I Just Don't Get It - Jonathan Kay: B'nai Brith compares Vancouver's treatment of female ski jumpers to Nazi policies of 1936 - Full Comment - the basic story struck me as somewhat unfair in a very limited context, but the analogy to the Nazi policies of 1936 entirely escapes me. It also seems to me that to raise an issue in such a manner does serious damage to the rest of the agenda that B'nai Brith pursues.

  1. I am galled that Israel would pay a red cent to Gaza for damage to the buildings during the latest incursion. What a hair brained idea. What kind of message does this send? Will they repay Israel for the damage done to Israeli towns, the loss of lives or physical and mental injuries? Decisions like this are suicidal. Since those of us in the Diaspora can't vote on idiotic decisions like this, perhaps we should send the Knesset a message by not sending money to support this latest madness. A.S.

  2. It makes me sick that Berer apologizes for those Arabs who hate us by citing that indoctrination is a valid explanation for their position. It would do him well to stop making excuses. Berer can love certain aspects of the Yemeni culture BUT he can't have it both ways. An "I like you but" approach is not helpful in resolving any egregious issue. A.S.
