"J Street believes that Israel’s military strength is a detriment that causes a hard line on negotiations. Forget that Palestinians of all stripes have never negotiated in good faith for a two-state solution if the creation of a Palestinian state also meant the existence of Israel. For J Street, a weaker Israel subject to manipulation and pressure is more likely to secure peace than a stronger Israel. This, of course, is the typical insanity of progressives cavalierly playing roulette with the lives of six and a half million people.
“Israel must take risks for peace” is the position of J Street. This mantra is typical of upper-middle class Jews living in the protective custody of American suburbia, people like Beth Emet’s Rabbi Andrea London — a member of the J Street Advisory Council — who can usually find a moral equivalence between a Palestinian act of violence and an Israeli policy position."

1. Helen Thomas Can Go To Hell - the well past her due date antisemite Helen Thomas, last month cavalierly said that the Jews should "get the hell out of Palestine" and "go back to Germany, Poland or America". She probably never heard of the pogrom that took place in Kielce, Poland on July 4, 1946. In Memorializing a Pogrom, Poles Learn About Themselves – Forward.com
That's right. Poland. 1946. Over a year after the end of World War II. A good account can be found here. And if this was an extreme example, it was not the only one.
So Helen - you did not exactly dispense anything remotely resembling good advice. Crawl under some rock somewhere and leave us all alone.
But there is some good news - I'm hearing that Mel Gibson is available - maybe you can charm the pants off him......you old battle-axe....

Mohammed Oudeh, Who Planned ’72 Olympic Attack, Is Dead at 73 - Obituary (Obit) - NYTimes.com. Here he is being praised by Abu Mazen, who the world knows better as Mahmoud Abbas - the dapper Chairman of the Palestinian Authority - Mahmoud Abbas in tribute to mastermind of massacre at '72 Olympics - Jihad Watch. Maybe George Mitchell could inquire about this - Mitchell meets Abbas in Ramallah.

I wanted to gag reading that fine obituary written about Oudeh in the New York Times. What made me feel even sicker was the fact that Israel allowed him to enter after 1996 knowing full well that he was the architect of the Munich assassinations of the athletes. So big whoop he finally agreed to recognize Israel as a state and acknowledged the two state solution as viable. May he rot in hell and may his low life daughter join the lion in his cage. A.S.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Stuart Weiss. Bringing Israel to its knees is what Hamas wants. They do not care about our nor their people. Too bad that those who marched to Bibi's home to protest refuse to see how they perpetuate violence by not recognizing the absurdity of their actions. Ihe show called THE UNIT comes to mind where a select core of hightly trained soldiers rescued their own behind enemy lines, in the manner the Israeli's used to. For once I'd like to see Shalit freed without all this absurd drama. Keeping the moral high road has harmed Israel's image. It is time to hit back before we as a people become extinct. The world doesn't care about us so as the Freilich family said, - when it comes to Jews and the loss of their lives, to the world "it is only Jewish blood" --( small irony that the name Freilich in yiddish means "joy and happiness") We have to show our mettle A.S.
ReplyDeleteAh gee what a shame if the Brits came down and bombed J street, claiming that by association, ( being Jewish) it was connected to Israel and therefore they had the right to obliterate it. I wouldn't shed a tear....
