8. Thirteen Senators - 87 of 100 US Senators recently signed a letter to President Obama to support Israel's actions regarding the so-called Peace Flotilla - 87 Senators - the Dry Bones Blog - among those who did not - Chris Dodd, Tom Harkin, John Kerry, Patrick Leahy, Jim Webb, Jim Bunning and Robert Byrd. All are Democrats save Bunning and Byrd - and now Byrd is dead. Thanks guys - really appreciate your lack of support!

9. Speaking Of Senator Byrd - I read an article that suggested that if you have some skeletons in your closet, or controversy in your past - death is a good career move, since the US mainstream media rarely speaks ill of the dead - Death of a senator
"Byrd was not always a champion of liberal causes," noted the Los Angeles Times this week, in a burst of breathtaking reticence. But anyone who failed to pay close attention will believe that this week the Americans said farewell to a great man."
